This project was conducted by the "Community Service Avenue" of RC Birla College on October 14- October 21, 2022.
We will be collecting old diyas starting on October 11 and will donate them to an old age home to light up their Diwali.
Phase 1 :
1) Project began with a Diya collecting drive for Diwali on October 11.
2) Till October 21st, we gather numerous diyas from students and teachers.
3) With this Phase 3 ended.
Phase 2 :
4) At 6:00 p.m., the RC Birla team and GBM visited the Shanti Bhavan Senior Residence.
5) We began arranging the diyas on the floor and creating the rangoli.
6) Then we visit the male portion of the nursing home and gave out sweets, chivdas, and fruits to everyone. We also instructed them to share whatever life stories they wish (Like funny incident of life).
7) We played the fun game antakshari with the uncles. They receive our happy Diwali wishes and shower us with several blessings.
8) Next, we deliver sweets and fruits to the elderly women's part of the old age home.
9) We enjoy conversing with them.
10) Finally, we present them with chocolate and roses.
11) We appreciate the management of the nursing home for assisting us in finishing the project.
