Aim:- To guide the new team i.e team 2020-21 and other rotaractors by our governing council members and past presidents.
Summary:-
• This project was conducted by our human resource development directors. Here the directors approached the past presidents to be the speaker of the session and to guide the rotaractors. The project was conducted on zoom application.
• There were 6 past presidents who performed as an orator of the session for 3 days. They are:-
(1) Rtr. Vinay Mahant
(2) Rtr. Shanmukh Swami Gowda
(3) Rtr. Prathamesh Chalke
(4) Rtr. Rachana Tripathi
(5) Rtr. Sheetal Balmiki
(6) Rtr. Shivam Yadav
• District council members, vertical heads, team 19-20, team 20-21, buddy council members were cordially invited for the session.
• The project was performed for three consecutive days from 11 am to 2:30 pm.
• Before promoting the project, an activity titled 'crack the code' was conducted where the rotaractors were asked to track the emojis sent by the HRD directors.
• The speaker's instructed the audience as follows:-
Points Covered:-
(1) Rtr. Vinay Mahant conversed about the traits of a good speaker.
• He said the speaker should have proper, good and impactful content with him.
• One should retain his speech rather than mugging up with the content.
• He instructed the reason why TED Talk is 18 minutes long. 18 minutes long enough for a speaker to flash out an idea, but short enough that a listener could take in, digest, and understand all of the important information.
• He gave some tips to tackle difficulties that speakers usually face and helped to overcome the state of anxiety.
• He gave some pointers to make the session interesting.
(2) Rtr. Shanmukh Swami Gowda explained about the measures that can be taken to work effectively in this pandemic situation.
• He gave us ideas about innovative online projects.
• Advised on doing twin club and sister club agreement effectively.
• Blogging for the editorial avenue.
• Divided work between the main avenue and supporting avenue.
• Conveyed about how we can work as a team during this pandemic.
(3) Rtr. Prathamesh Chalke spoke on what new things we can discover in this pandemic.
• Initially, he shared the difficulties and the memories that he had in his Rotaract journey.
• Also he told us to be confident with the language you deliver.
• He helped us in how to to build confidence to face the crowd.
Confidence is not something that can be learned like a set of rules; confidence is a state of mind. Positive thinking, practice, training, knowledge and talking to other people are all useful ways to help improve or boost your confidence level.
Also, he explained about the disadvantage of being overconfident.
(4) Rtr.Rachna Tripathi elucidated
• Real meaning of professionalism like how to be professional during work
• How to maintain the difference between professional and personal life.
• Pointers that can help to make a balance between it:-
(1)Separate homework and office work.
(2) Set priorities.
(3) Create a schedule and stick to it.
(4) Manage procrastination.
(5) Eliminate distraction.
(6) Be inventive.
(7) Create boundaries.
(8) Learn to say NO.
(9) Treat yourself at the end of the day.
(5) Rtr. Sheetal Balmiki explained the confidence-building topic.
• She initiated the session by asking a few questions.
• She clarified each and every point for building confidence through the wonderful PowerPoint presentation made by her.
Points covered were:-
(1) Get things done at the right time.
(2) Monitor your progress.
(3) Be fearless.
(4) Stand up for yourself.
(5) Take 100 days of rejection challenge.
(6) Don't care what others think.
(7) Do more what makes you happy.
(8) Don't be afraid to ask questions.
(9) Improve your body language.
