Vanquish Your fear

Fear is a natural human emotion. It means to be scared of somebody alternatively or doing something. There are different types of fear that sometimes people face. Social fear is one of them. It's a situation where a person feels unconscious in crowded places. People with social phobia can usually interact easily with family and a few close friends. But they face problems while talking in a group or with new people.


Nowadays, the foremost common problems that students confront is lack of confidence, stress, stage fear and lack of concentration. To overcome these situations, Human Resource Development Directors (HRD) of 'Rotaract Club Of Birla College' came up with an initiative "Vanquish Your Fear".


In this project, the HRD directors circulated a Google form among the team and asked them to fill it honestly.

Questions related to strength and weakness were inquired in the form. Further, they assigned a special task to everyone and asked them to finish the task before 8 pm every day.

The project was conducted for 7 consecutive days. Every day the participants performed the tasks amazingly and that they submitted it in the form of videos and photos to respective HRD directors. On the final day of the project, a template was shared within the group by Chairwoman HRD wherein the participants gave constructive feedback about the task assigned to them and shared the template on their personal Instagram account. Also, they tagged the HRD directors and home club.

The task was given as follows:-


(1) Meditation


Meditation is taken into account a kind of mind-body medicine and is usually used for relaxation and stress reduction. It can offer you a way of calm, peace and balance which will benefit both your emotional well-being and your overall health.




(2) Affirmations


Affirmations are positive statements which will assist you to challenge and overcome negative thoughts. Positive affirmations directly reach to our subconscious and after 25 to 30 days, your beliefs will start changing.



(3) Writing down your thoughts.


Have you ever heard why is it important to jot down your thoughts on paper?


One of the ways to affect any overwhelming emotion is to seek out a healthy thanks to express yourself. This makes a journal a helpful tool in managing your psychological state. Journaling can assist you in:


• Manage anxiety

• Reduce stress

• Cope with depression



Especially this will assist you to cope up with things once you can't share it with someone.
