𝘾𝙡𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧 𝙂𝙤𝙩 𝘾𝙧𝙪𝙣𝙘𝙝𝙚𝙨


The lockdown has been a stressful time for many people. Stress is linked to higher inflammation in the body and weight gain. Staying home all the time and overeating can lead to a number of health problems.


So here our sports directors came up with an initiative, "Clever got crunches". As the name describes, the project includes two things at the same time.

The project initiated with a quiz competition wherein the participants were asked general knowledge questions related to sports. The participant who gave the correct answer was asked to perform a physical task.

Task included plank, side plank, push-ups, sit-ups and squats.

This project was conducted for 2 hours virtually on ZOOM application. The participant who scored maximum points was declared as the winner.

The project was quite interesting. Participants gained some knowledge along with doing physical activities.


Although, the lockdown has been a sedentary time for us, without much movement. If you have been always on work and suddenly found yourself sitting at home all the time, you have piled on some extra weight.

So are you one of them who is facing the problem of belly-bloating and piled on some extra weight?


Here are some NO equipment exercises that you can do at your home.


(1) Plank


Plank is one of the best abdominal exercises without any equipment. It engages multiple muscles at once. Also, it strengthens your core, burns the fat around the abdominal area by giving an improved posture.



(2) Side Plank


Side Plank helps to tone your shoulders, oblique and legs. It also strengthens the deep muscles of your lower back so it can also help with lower back pain.




(3) Push-ups


Pushups are a fast and effective exercise for building strength. Doing pushups every day can be effective if you’re looking for a consistent exercise routine to follow. You will likely notice gains in upper body strength if you do pushups regularly.




(4) Sit-ups


They strengthen the core and build abdominal muscles. Having more muscles will, in turn, increase the number of calories that your body burns, which will help you burn fat. Also, it is considered among the best abs making exercises.
